The Girl on the Train {Book to Movie}

This is the perfect movie to see this spooky season. A mysterious thriller that will keep you guessing all movie long. I have to say when I read the book I was surprised by the ending. It was not as crazy of a twisted book as Gone Girl but still interesting and a great page turner.
I am really interested in seeing this movie because I love Emily Blunt and she plays the main character.
So mark your calendars to go see
this weekend.
Opens October 7th
Rated R
112 minutes

5 movies that were better than their books

Unpopular opinion time: sometimes the movie is every bit as good as the book it's based on. And sometimes it's even better.

Hopefully no book lovers' panties are getting bunched reading this, but I have to admit that sometimes movies bring something special to the table that even a great book just can't deliver. Or sometimes, a movie turns a truly lackluster book into an awesome experience.

Of course, there are tons of movies that absolutely butcher the book on which they were based, but today's post is in honor of the movies that rocked it, and might even be better than the book they're based on. Just one girl's opinion here, of course, and you are more than welcome to disagree with me, as long as no one shows up at my house with torches and pitchforks :-)

Me Before You {Book to Movie}

Aaahhhh.... this book is amazing! After I read this book I went and found every other Jojo Moyes book I could find because I wanted to read everything she has ever written. Jojo Moyes is on my Top Five Author List and she deserves to be there. I heard they were making this a movie a while ago and I hope they do the book justice. It is an amazing story of love, life, trials, heartache, and bravery.
This movie comes out June 3rd

Allegiant {Book to Movie}

Book to Movie

So I watched the trailer and the other side of the wall does not look how I remember reading it. This makes me think that the screenwriters have taken some liberties in changing a few things. So it looks like this third book will be split into two movies but the forth movie will be called Divergent Series: Ascendant. Let's cross our fingers that they change the ending because that ending totally sucked.
This movie comes out March 18th!

Pride and Prejudice and Zombies {Book to Movie}

So with all the Zombie craze they made the book Pride and Prejudice and Zombies into a movie. I saw the trailer and I think this movie will be entertaining. I actually have  not read the book but a friend of mine has and she didn't really like it. I wonder if you are a true Jane Austen fan if that makes the difference wether you would like this movie or not. I think I will go see it just because it looks entertaining. I am not going to put high expectations on this movie and let it be what it is, "A Zombie Movie".
This movie comes out February 5th. It is PG-13 and 108 minutes.

In the Heart of the Sea {Book to Movie}

Swoon! Right? Even if you are not into books based on true stories and then brought to life on the big screen then I am sure you'd love to see Chris Hemsworth for 2 hours. But who wouldn't want to watch a movie based on the book where the famous Moby Dick was inspired from. I for one didn't know that this was from a true story in history.

This movie has been on my radar for over a year. The movie trailer came out last December and was suppose to come out in the beginning of 2015 but I guess they decided to wait till the Holiday Season to release it.
This movie comes out December 11th. It is rated PG-13 and is 121 minutes.
It is directed by the amazing Ron Howard.
