Shalease was our moderator for this book and she did such a great job coming up with the decorations and menu for the night! Luckily for us her husband recently rediscovered his old gaming system so she brought them to create some fun decorations. Do you remember Super Mario Bros, Legend of Zelda and Tetris?! Seeing those games sure brought back memories.
This month at Delicious Reads we read The Eye of Minds by James Dashner which is a story about a wildly advanced video game where everything looks and feels real. The story centers around Michael, a video game pro and his two best friends Bryson and Sarah. They are hackers and high level players recruited to solve a mystery inside the video game world.
This is the first book in The Maze Runner Series by James Dashner. We did not read this as a book club but many of our members have read this series and we are really excited to see how they brought it to life on the big screen. We are reading one of James Dashner's other books "The Eye of Minds" in January coming up. So you can look forward to that book club in a couple of months.
Screen play for the movie was written by Noah Oppenheim, Grant Pierce Myers, and T.S. Nowlin and is directed by Wes Ball.

He has directed three short films. This is his first full feature film. But he has also worked in the Art Department and Visual Effects for movies and TV shows. I think it is always good to have an artistic director. Can't wait to see what he does with this movie!
