"Anne of Green Gables" Book Club Ideas Part 2

Did you grow up reading Anne of Green Gables or watching the movies? Most of us at book club did also. But there were a few of us who didn't know anything about Anne.

It is never too late to read this story that is loved by the world and maybe you will fall in love with it too.

{Decorations}

The decorations were beautiful. Besides having such beautiful Christmas decorations you will definitely need to have greens and flowers all around. In the book Anne talks so much about all the beautiful flowers all over the island. And have you ever seen pictures or been to Prince Edward Island. It is breath taking.

There were our favorite quotes from the book all over as part of the decorations.

  Robin and Alix put these cards on the tables with our favorite Anne of Green Gables Quotes on them.

These cute paper doilies were strung up on a fish line across the room. We just took a round doily and folded it in half then placed it over the fishing line. It was very light weight.

As part of the decorations you can have a DVD of Anne of Green Gables playing in the background during dinner.

{Activity}
Robin had the cutest idea to incorporate Gingerbread houses with making our own Anne of Green Gables house. She brought the houses put together already. Then she put us in teams and we had to decorate our house. Then there was a panel of judges to decide which house won.

{Discussion}
Robin put together some great facts and discussion questions about Anne of Green Gables and the author L.M. Montgomery. I think after hearing about Prince Edward Island we all want to go there some day.

{Gifts}
Check out these cutest sugar cookies made by The Bakeaholic. (Check out her Instagram _thebakeaholic) Thank you Kelly for getting each of us a cookie. They were almost too cute to eat. But I did finally break down and eat mine and it was soooo good.

Thank you to Robin for moderating

All photos are by Summer Nicole Photography, thank you so much Summer!
