Book to Movie 2015 {July-September} Part 3

The trend in Hollywood continues of turning books into screenplays so we are here to keep you informed on what book-to-movie adaptions are coming up!
We put this quarterly update together so if you prefer, you can read the books that interest you before their movie is released (but we all know the books are better.)
;-)

The first movie coming out is

in theaters July 17 and is rated PG, so fun for the whole family.
"An aged, retired Sherlock Holmes looks back on his life, and grapples with an unsolved case involving a beautiful woman."

Next up is one I've been waiting for because I think John Greene is an amazing writer and story teller!
This will be in theaters July 24th and on IMDB is not yet rated
but I would bet that it will be rated PG-13
"A young man and his friends embark upon the road trip of their lives to find the missing girl next door."

That's it for July and there is only one book to movie in August
as of now it is coming out August 7th and is rated R.
This is another one of Gillian Flynn's books brought to the big screen.
"A woman who survived the brutal killing of her family as a child is forced to confront the events of that day by a secret society obsessed with solving notorious crimes."

There are three totally different from each other movies coming out in September
with such actors as Robert Redford and Nick Nolte it's bound to be good.
It's not yet rated and comes out September 2nd.
"After spending two decades in England, Bill Bryson returns to the U.S., where he decides the best way to connect with his homeland is to hike the Appalachian Trail with one of his oldest friends."

Two of these movies come out the same day. Which will you choose to see first?
The Second book in the series by James Dasher
It is not yet rated on IMDB but I'm pretty sure it will be PG-13 and it comes out September 18th
"After having escaped the Maze, the Gladers now face a new set of challenges on the open roads of a desolate landscape filled with unimaginable obstacles."
Lastly,
Do I need to say anymore than Johnny Depp!
It is rated R and comes out September 18th so not for the family.

"The true story of Whitey Bulger, the brother of a state senator and the most infamous violent criminal in the history of South Boston, who became an FBI informant to take down a Mafia family invading his turf."

Summer is a great time to get out of the heat and see a flick so hopefully you might check out some of these great Book to Movies coming out.
Check back to see the posts I do on them for a more in depth look.

P.S. I have been keeping my eye on Fallen (written by Lauren Kate) which was suppose to come out this July but it looks like they have pushed the date back some more. I can't wait to see that one. I will keep you updated on when it will come out.

xoxo,
